Jamie Gruber is a self taught and accomplished chef and restaurateur. He began experimenting with food preparation in grammar school and by the time he was old enough to drive he was running a busy, local pizza parlor.
Jamie apprenticed under several noteworthy chefs in Atlanta. His coworkers from that time have gone on to receive accolades in the hospitality industry and are spread out around the country.
Cultivating a vast knowledge of seafood, its preparation, its many waters of origin, and the methods of catching seafood began over a decade ago with the inception of his family’s seafood markets in Columbus and in Panama City, Florida.
Through the years Chef Gruber has travelled in the US and abroad to expand his palette. Inspiration for his award winning dishes comes through discovering new flavors from local farmers as well as importing exotic treats.
Chef Gruber calls Columbus home, but considers the world his playground. You will find him where he is most comfortable…in the kitchen, serving his signature dishes and ever changing daily specials to hungry Columbus natives and their guests.
